Michael Catania, Esq. Presenting a Program at Northeastern Subcontractors Association Membership Meeting

Mr. Michael Catania, Esq. will be presenting a program "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: How Differences in Key Contractual Provisions Impact Subcontractors" at the April 21st Northeastern Subcontractors Association (NESCA) Mid-Hudson Membership meeting.

Mr. Catania will review a number of key contractual provisions found in subcontracts, such as incorporation (flow down); warranty; changes/directives; arbitration/mediation; termination for convenience; and claims procedures. He will review these provisions by comparing and contrasting the good (AIA-unmodified), the bad (owner/contractor modified AIA), and the ugly (contractor's proprietary contract).

Attendees will learn how to differentiate between favorable and unfavorable subcontract provisions and how the differences in subcontract language can have a major impact on the projects you engage in.

Mr. Catania is a member of Catania, Mahon, Milligram & Rider, PLC, a full-service law firm with offices in Newburgh and Fishkill.
